National Criminal Database

The national criminal database is a nationwide search of a comprehensive criminal records database. When used in conjunction with county criminal searches, it can produce a comprehensive criminal background search, as well as an overall lower cost by better identifying which counties should be searched. The database is updated monthly to infrequently, depending on the availability of the specific jurisdiction. Criminal data sources typically include:

  • Proprietary Offender Data
  • Department of Corrections
  • Administrative Office of the Courts
  • Department of Public Safety
  • Traffic Court
  • Multi-State Sex Offender Database

National Sex Offender Registry

In order to provide our clients the best protection, we utilize the most comprehensive search available for Sex Offenders. Many companies provide similar database searches, but AIR takes the service farther!

  • If there is a possible match, we work with our clients to ensure the identity of the sex offender listed by getting key identifiers, such as height, weight, race, identifying marks, etc.
  • In addition, we contact the specified agencies listed on the database to verify this information.
  • If applicable, we will also perform a county or state level criminal search to verify the conviction.

The database includes over 700 thousand registered sex offenders obtained from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and Guam. Our National Sex Offender Registry repository also includes over 400,000 photographs. When available, photographs of the registered sex offenders can be key to helping validate identity. Our extensive search capabilities check registered sex offender data sources nationwide, such as: Bureaus of Investigation, Departments of Law Enforcement, Departments of Corrections, Departments of Justice, Departments of Public Safety, Sheriff’s Departments, State Attorney General’s Offices, and State Police. Details in the report normally include: name, known aliases, identifiers, registered address, case numbers, charges, conviction details.
